As you know, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is released on DVD and Blu-ray today. So my blog post today will look at the up-and-coming cinema technology called D-box. It gives you the full cinema 'experience' or 'motion movements' and is quite like being shook around during a film. Now this type of cinema seat is more expensive than the average seats, (obviously) but gives you a ride and makes you move with the film.
On the left is a picture of one of these seats, apparently they are not worth paying more for but I think you should just try them yourself and see. Personally they look amazingly fun, you tubers and bloggers alike, disagree.
They have been tested in some cinemas around the world, in films like the Hobbit, Looper and the Sweeney. They aren't everywhere yet but, you just wait.
Here is the company's site with the video of how it works: http://www.d-box.com/en/consumer/technology
A Cineworld in Glasgow is the first cinema in the UK to introduce these seats and are in several American cinema's already. Also look out for D-Box seats at some of the newest films like Iron man 3 and Olympus has Fallen.
