Google has released a new gadget they are working on called project glass, they are not released to the public just yet, you'll have to wait until next year. Although they are releasing an explorer edition to the people who enter the competition. You will have to be quick though as it closes in two days!
So these cool new glasses have voice input and output, so you look like you are talking to yourself when controlling them. Even though they are made with transparent LCD screens, Google says they are strong and durable, we'll be the judge of that. At $1500 each they are an expensive pair of glasses, so what do they do, I hear you ask, well:
- Take pictures and record videos
- Has an inbuilt GPS
- Video call friends
- Speak messages to other people
- Translate your voice
- Search for information on Google
Personally, I think these glasses are innovative and pretty awesome. They have a sleek and modern design to make them sit nicely on your face. Easy and slightly lazy navigation puts this gadget higher on the list for me because humans are lazy when it comes to a computer, we want it to be done how we want it and we want it now. However, this could be the future of computing: displayed right in front of the eye, hands free and on your face. Easy. One thing could put tech lovers off though, and that's the price $1500 is a large amount but that's the price you need to pay for a fantastic gadget like this one.
We will have to sit back and wait for Google on this one.....
