Ada: This is a programming language and is similar to C or C++, but with the type-safety of a language like Java. It was designed to control robotic equipment but is now used in some apps. Ada was named after Ada, Lady Lovelace, who created the first analytical computer and used algorithms, basically the world's first programmer. A woman as the first programmer!
Bedroom Programming: This is computer programming which involves software or video game developing by amateur programmers who program because they love it, and want to. But not to make money out of their creations.
Bespoke Software: This software is tailor made for a specific company or business to suit their needs and wants. It is often far more expensive but you get to be picky!

Boolean: It is the term to describe an element of a database or spread sheet. Either true/false or yes/no, basically it has two outcomes. Also named after George Boole ,an English mathematician in the 19th century, who created a complete mathematical logic system. Boolean logic and algebra has many uses in applications in electronics, computer hardware and software.
CD Grabber: is a piece of software designed to find and get raw digital audio data from a compact disc.
Compiler: is a type of computer program that translates source code (what you write) into object code(what the computer knows) so the computer can understand the code you have written, e.g. JAVA.

the "grey area" between normal software and a virus. This is more like annoying programs like spam or adware.HTML: Our best friend! One of the easiest programming languages to use, makes websites.
Java: Is object-orientated programming and is used on the web.
Kylix: A Linux creation and allows programmers to make programs for the operating system.
Multi-tasking: In computing terms, this means having two programs open at the same time and using them both. Easier for women ;)
Operating environment: The "state" in which your computer is in when your working i.e. command line or GUI.
Parallel computing: Two or more computers working on the same project/ software and making changes which the other can view.
PHP: Originally designed and used as a high level scripting language for producing amazing web pages, PHP is used in application software now as well. PHP allows web developers to create programs and websites that interacts with databases.
Runtime: describes the operation of a computer program, the duration of its use.
TwinText: This program can generate HTML documents from range of programming languages.
Upward compatible: refers to software that runs not only on the computer and operating systems but also on more improved models.
Utility program: This is a type of program that supports the computer. This could include searches on the computer and a piece of anti-virus software.
Wrapper software: This software refers to software that improves convenience, compatibility or security. i.e. encryption software.
Hope that has helped understand some terms and this post has found some words that you may not of known. Just wait for next week! :)
