Is there room for anymore consoles?

Above are the three main competitors, in my eyes. Wii, Xbox and PS3 are in an outright war for the top spot. This weeks topic is gaming, I will look at the consoles on the market and decide on an answer to this question:

Is there room for anymore consoles?

 

Now, this topic came into my mind when I was thinking about the rumoured Xbox 720, the latest console from Microsoft. I also saw the new Wii U on our shelves and it made me think about all of the consoles already available. This may seem like a slightly biased post, as I have a Xbox 360, but I am willing to look at all angles today.

 

The Wii:

This was an amazing kinetic console. When it came out. I think the Wii has lost track slightly as it has got more popular. No one plays it anymore and it is starting to fail. Then they go and release Wii U, which looks good, its just that everyone already has a Wii, Xbox or PS3 and doesn't need it. Its like a pool of consoles and the Wii U is sort of drowning in it. Don't think that I am just slagging the Wii off, my family has a Wii to share, just no one uses on it anymore. We used to love it. :)

 

The Xbox 360:

Well, where do I start. Its amazing and crap at the same time. I love the controller on the Xbox, I think its the best one out of the lot! So easy to use and perfect hand grip. I played on my Xbox since, well I can't even remember, I've had it for ages. Now the down side, call me a cheapskate but I don't like paying for Xbox live. I love playing online but I don't want to pay for it. I saw a video on YouTube about the Xbox 720, and they were debating if customers should pay for Live anymore. I hope so.

 

The PS3:   

The PS3 has beautiful graphics and stunning visuals, similar game play to the Xbox as it has a similar hard drive. Rumours of the PS4 are circling the internet and people are waiting. Personally, I do like the PS3, but its the same argument as in the weeks previous posts. I posted about Mac, Windows or Linux. Its like the Wii is Linux, Xbox is Windows and PS3 is Mac. They all do the same thing but in different ways and its down to the customer which they buy. ( But Xbox is better) No, its your judgment, not mine. :)

 

I think there is room for the consoles who grab the space at first sight. What I mean by that is, if one company sees a gab in the market, its theirs if they are quick enough.
